When are the classes?

Classes are every Monday. Ballet class for ages 2-5, is from 5:00pm – 5:30pm. Ballet class for ages 6-12, is from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and Hip Hop class for ages 6-12, is from 6:30pm until 7:30pm. All classes are held at the same location. The empowerment class will take the place of one dance class per month and will be held at the same location and at the same time of the regular scheduled dance class. The specific dates of the empowerment class will be released once you register.

How old does my daughter need to be to participate?

Shining Inspirations is for all girls between the ages of 2 to 12.

How much are the classes?

The class for ages 2-5 is $75.00 a month. The class for ages 6-12 is $85.00 a month. If girls ages 6-12 would like to take both ballet and hip hop, there is a discounted rate of $150.00 a month for both classes. Empowerment classes are included in the monthly price.

Does my daughter have to take both classes?

No, she may take whatever class interests her. If she doesn’t want to take both, she can take either only ballet or only hip hop. The choice is hers.

What if my daughter doesn’t want to dance, can she still do the empowerment classes?

Of course!! If you are only interested in the empowerment classes, you are more than welcome to do so and you would just pay for that class. The empowerment class will be once a month on a specific Monday, dates will be released when you register, and the price for each class is $35.00.

Will I know what topics are discussed in the empowerment classes?

Yes, parents will get an email a week before the empowerment class to notify them of the topics that will be discussed so they are aware of what their daughter will be learning in class.

What if my daughter only wants to dance and is not interested in the empowerment classes?

This is understandable and your daughter will never be forced to do anything against her will, but this is what makes Shining Inspirations a stand out program. Not only are we offering dance classes, but we are instilling in our girls the importance of following their dreams and equipping them with life skills. These classes will promote positivity, self confidence, help them understand their self worth and discuss several life topics that will help the girls to build their self esteem and become more well rounded. It is highly recommended that the girls participate in the monthly empowerment classes, but is not required.

My daughter has struggle areas that I would like her to work on. Can these be addressed?

Absolutely. If you know your daughter struggles in a certain area, please communicate that and we would love to help her grow at a level that she feels comfortable with. For example, if she struggles with speaking up, being shy or passive, we can focus on activities for her to know the importance of being bold and setting boundaries. Whatever will help your daughter flourish, please communicate that so she can get the most out of this experience.
