Self confidence is extremely important in our young girls. They can build self confidence many different ways, but dance is a great way to get started with a confidence boost. Dance is a way to help our girls learn new things about themselves. The look on their face when they get the choreography down, the way they feel when they put dance attire on and the bond they build with other dancers are all amazing ways to help build confidence in girls through dance.

Dance builds courage. The first day of dance class can be intimidating. The girls are nervous about how well they will do, if they will fit in and if they will be able to keep up with the rest of the girls. Once they take a few classes, with the help and encouragement of the dance instructor, girls will begin to feel more confident and build courage. As the dance season continues, you will notice your daughter enjoying the classes and being more confident in moving her body and learning how to keep up with the routines.

Friendships are important in young girls. Being in a dance class allows your daughter to be around peers that have the same interests and this will develop friendships that may last a lifetime. Dance also helps girls develop social skills. Girls have the possibility to develop a genuine love for a new activity where they feel inspired and empowered.

As parents, we want to see our girls thrive and develop new skills that will encourage them to be confident and encourage positive behavior, and taking dance classes is a great place to start.
